My man, you actually didn’t need to glue down those small blocks used as calls……couldn’t you have just set the “calls”/blocks a few inches lower and placed them directly on the rails you were gluing up? …..and if the thin strip of the stretcher/rail is too narrow to rest them on, then use those badass HARBFRT clamps to hold them in place (Ive got a TON of those $2 grey beasts all over my shop!! lol) No criticism intended here, I’m a TRASH woodworker, def not as accomplished as a pro like you, & I’m a big fan. Great video, all the best brother! 👊🏼

The Emerald paint instructions say to use a 0.013 tip size minimum. The Graco FFLP tip in your link is a 0.01 size and it still worked? And about how much pressure did you add with the pressure dial? I also have an X5.

Why not put the face frame on before painting? Also, why the pocket screws vs a brad nailer? These are genuine questions and not me trolling. I work in a cabinet shop and we generally apply the face frame with glue and brads before the finishing process.

I love how intuitive your videos are. You definitely give me the confidence I need to build my own kitchen cabinets. Keep up the great videos. I'm just curious why you put the pocket holes for the face frame inside the cabinet where they can be seen instead of between the cabinets on the outside?

While your Benchmark squares are nice I find that that I like Starrett squares, made for machinists, and you can get blades that interchange into it with lengths of 6, 12, 18 and 24 inches, possibly even longer but I have never had the need for anything longer than the 24 inch. Yes, they are more expensive but quality and accuracy are paramount in the machinist trade, Mitutoyo squares are much the same, they have precision instruments and are a little less expensive than Starrett. (I'm a retired machinist.). I also like the Starrett machinist's squares but they are not adjustable with respect to blade movement but are highly accurate, usually within 0.001" per foot or less.

Very nice build! I think the only real change I'd have made would be changing the router bit storage to individual drawers, or at least making the trays removable so there's unobstructed access at all levels. I know it's more hardware, but I think it would provide much better results. Other than that, this is a stellar build!

Your videos have helped soo much. Thanks for doing what you do.

Good tips on the drawer slides and the half inch bottom inset came in handy for securing the bottom of the shaker style drawer face. Thanks for showing that.

Great video very detailed. I am really trying to be a better craftsman. the only thing I would recommend is that you install you back panel on the Drawer after you slide in the bottom then you can keep the piece that you went back to and cut off. It creates a stronger drawer bottom then just screwing it to the wood. Overall Great Vid.

I noticed you don’t use plywood all across the entire top of the cabinet, if stone is the choice of the counter top, I prefer to use plywood all the way across, basically treating it as another side of the cabinet. I can stand on my countertops without fear of cracking the stone. Most women stand on their countertops more than once in their lifetime to reach the top to clean them or to change the lighting if installed. It isn’t that much more expensive to do and they usually love that they don’t have to worry about their countertops being damaged. I recommend this as an upgrade and most love it. Unless the individual is very heavy then I don’t bring it up and prefer to do it anyway.

This is one of the best detailed videos on making drawers, installing them, etc. I have yet to figure out how to do it, but then I finally bought a table saw too so I am hoping that will help me even up all the mistakes I made with being off a bit in the past.

$1500 to $1800 for a Woodpeckers Router Table? No thanks! It’s interesting, woodworkers would laugh at a woman spending $1000 on a purse, but ridiculously expensive tools have become the luxury purses of woodworking, and there are always men willing to throw down the money.
